Conductor
Kathy Thompson has been a band director for over 40 years and is currently the band director at Seven Rivers Christian School. Her previous teaching experiences include high school and middle school in Sumter, Citrus and Hernando Counties.
Mrs. Thompson is an active adjudicator for the Florida Bandmasters Association and has conducted numerous All-County and All-District Bands. In 2006, she was selected to conduct the 7th and 8th grade Florida All-State Band. In March of 2021, she was honored to be interviewed as part of the Florida Bandmasters Assn. Legacy Project. Mrs. Thompson holds both a Bachelor and Masters of Music Education from the University of South Florida.
